# CactusCover (For Buyers)

CactusCover helps keep purchases on the **MitchCactus Marketplace secure and protected**, giving buyers additional peace of mind when ordering from independent sellers. 🛡️

This protection is primarily designed for **marketplace orders**, where a third-party seller is responsible for fulfilling the purchase. For products fulfilled directly by MitchCactus, our own team manages the process from start to finish, with any applicable warranty or protection handled directly by us.

Every marketplace order also includes an initial **7-day protection period** where eligible issues can be raised and reviewed.

## How does buyer protection work? 🔒

MitchCactus securely manages the payment and order process from checkout through delivery.

Here’s how it works:

1. **You place your order** — your payment is securely held by MitchCactus.
2. **The seller delivers your order** — you’ll be notified once delivery has been submitted.
3. **You have 3 days to review the delivery** and confirm that everything has been provided as described.
4. Once the order is received or automatically completed, **additional warranty protection may continue** depending on the product type.
5. Once the applicable protection period has ended, the payment can be released to the seller.

> 💡 **If something isn’t right, don’t approve the delivery.** Continue communicating through the order chat or raise a dispute so the issue can be reviewed.

## How long is my order protected? ⏱️

The additional warranty period depends on the type of product purchased.

| **Accounts** | Typically **7–14 days**, depending on the game |
| **Fortnite Accounts** | **10 days** |
| **Rainbow Six Siege Accounts** | **10 days** |
| **Gift Cards** | **5 days** — Coming Soon |
| **Other Products** | No additional post-completion warranty required\* |

\*This does **not** mean these orders are unprotected.

For many products, an extended warranty simply isn’t necessary. For example, if you purchase **in-game currency or items delivered through an in-game trade**, the seller no longer has control of those goods once they’ve been successfully transferred to you.

These orders are still protected throughout the normal transaction process. If something is missing, incorrect, delayed, or not delivered as described, you can **raise a dispute** and our Resolution Team can investigate.

Extended warranty protection is most relevant for products where ownership or access is being transferred from the seller to the buyer, such as **accounts, codes, or gift cards**.

## Extended account warranties 🔐

Certain account listings may include additional warranty options beyond the standard protection period.

Depending on the offer, this may include:

* **Free extended warranty**
* **3 Months**
* **6 Months**
* **Lifetime**

Available coverage will always be shown on the relevant listing or during checkout.

If you make an eligible warranty claim, **MitchCactus handles the claim directly**, reviewing the order, seller communication, and any supporting evidence before determining the appropriate resolution.

## What happens if something goes wrong? ⚠️

If you experience an issue during the applicable protection or warranty period, simply **raise a dispute through your order**.

Once a dispute is opened:

* 🔒 The payment remains protected while the issue is reviewed
* 💬 Both sides can provide information through the order chat
* 📸 You can submit screenshots, videos, or other supporting evidence
* 🔎 Our Resolution Team can review the order and intervene where required
* 💸 A refund, replacement, correction, or another appropriate resolution may be provided depending on the circumstances

Your protection remains active while an eligible dispute or warranty claim is being reviewed, even if resolving the issue takes longer than the original protection period.

## Why do some products have longer warranties than others?

Warranty is most useful when you’re purchasing something that was previously **owned or controlled by the seller** and is then transferred to you.

For example:

* 🔑 **Accounts** — ownership and login access are transferred to you
* 🎁 **Gift Cards or Codes** — a unique redeemable code is transferred to you
* 💳 **Certain Top-Ups** — depending on the delivery method, additional protection may apply

For products delivered permanently through an **in-game trade or direct transfer**, there is generally no ongoing seller-side risk after successful delivery, so an additional warranty period may not be necessary.

Regardless of the category, you’re still protected if the original order is **not delivered correctly or as described**. 🛡️
