# Keyword Rules

Our keyword rules are designed to keep MitchCactus listings **clear, relevant, and easy for buyers to search and compare**.

Using extra keywords, symbols, misspellings, or unrelated terms does not improve a listing and may actually reduce its visibility.

---

## Why do we have keyword rules?

Marketplace search works best when listings accurately describe the product being sold.

Keyword abuse can:

* Clutter search results
* Make listings harder to read
* Cause offers to appear in irrelevant searches
* Give sellers an unfair visibility advantage
* Make it harder for buyers to find what they actually want

The best approach is simple: **write your listing for the buyer, not for the search engine.**

---

## What counts as keyword abuse?

Keyword abuse includes wording or formatting primarily intended to manipulate search visibility rather than accurately describe the product.

### Special characters and formatting tricks

Avoid unnecessary symbols, underscores, excessive capitalization, or decorative formatting designed purely to attract attention.

For example:

* `500M_CASH_ACCOUNT`
* `RARE__SKINS__X20`
* `BEST!!! GOLD ACCOUNT`
* `__CHEAP_CURRENCY__`

Emojis are fine when used in moderation, but they should not make the title difficult to read.

---

## Misspelled or altered keywords

Do not intentionally misspell words or replace letters with numbers to target additional searches.

For example:

* `acc0unt`
* `g0ld`
* `curr3ncy`
* `f0rtnite`

Use the normal spelling that a buyer would naturally search for.

---

## Irrelevant or misleading keywords

Only use keywords that genuinely relate to the product being sold.

For example, a Fortnite account listing should not include unrelated terms such as:

* Valorant
* Clash of Clans
* RuneScape
* Call of Duty

unless those terms are genuinely relevant to the product.

Adding unrelated game names or popular search terms simply to appear in more results is prohibited.

---

## Keyword stuffing

Do not repeatedly use the same word or variation simply to increase keyword density.

### Bad example

> Gold account cheap gold account best gold account instant gold account

### Better example

> Gold Rank Account | Instant Delivery | Full Access

Keep titles natural, descriptive, and easy to scan.

As a general rule, the same keyword or obvious variation should not need to appear repeatedly throughout the title and description.

---

## What does a good listing look like? ✅

A strong listing should have:

* A short and descriptive title
* Correct spelling
* Keywords directly relevant to the product
* Clear product information
* Natural wording
* No unnecessary symbols or search terms

For example:

> **Diamond Rank Account | 35 Skins | Full Access**

is much clearer than:

> **🔥DIAMOND\_ACCOUNT🔥 BEST CHEAP RANKED ACC DIAMOND SKINS ACCOUNT**

The first tells the buyer exactly what they're looking at without unnecessary clutter.

---

## Do keyword tricks improve ranking?

No.

Marketplace ranking considers the quality and performance of the listing and seller. Adding irrelevant keywords, symbols, repeated terms, or misleading wording does not provide a legitimate ranking advantage.

Keyword abuse may instead result in:

* Reduced listing visibility
* Removal from search results
* Listing moderation
* Seller warnings or restrictions

Repeated or deliberate manipulation may result in stronger action against the seller account.

---

## Can I use emojis?

Yes. 👍

Emojis can be used to make titles easier to scan, but they should be used **sparingly and appropriately**.

A small number of relevant emojis is fine.

Titles filled with repeated emojis or decorative symbols may be treated as spam or poor-quality formatting.

---

## Can I mention another game in my description?

Only if it's genuinely relevant.

For example, mentioning another game as part of a legitimate comparison or compatibility explanation may be reasonable.

Adding popular game names purely so your offer appears in unrelated searches is not allowed.

---

## What if my listing genuinely needs the same word more than once?

That's fine when it reads naturally and provides useful information.

The purpose of these rules isn't to punish normal writing. They're intended to stop **deliberate keyword manipulation and search spam**.

---

## What happens if I break the keyword rules?

Depending on the severity and frequency, MitchCactus may:

* Edit, unlist, or remove the offer
* Reduce its visibility
* Issue a seller warning
* Restrict listing privileges
* Temporarily or permanently suspend sellers who repeatedly manipulate marketplace search

If you're unsure whether your title or description is acceptable, contact the MitchCactus Support Team before publishing it.

## Keep it simple 🌵

The easiest rule to follow is:

> **Describe exactly what you're selling in the same way you'd expect to see it as a buyer.**

Clear, accurate listings perform better for everyone.
