# Order and Message Notifications

You can control how MitchCactus notifies you about **new orders, messages, status changes, and other seller activity** from your notification settings.

Keeping notifications enabled helps you respond quickly to customers and avoid missing important order updates.

## Notification Settings

Open your **Seller Dashboard** and navigate to **Settings → Notifications**.

From here, you can choose which notifications you want to receive and how you want to receive them.

Depending on the notification, available options may include:

* 🔔 Desktop notifications
* ✉️ Email notifications
* 🔊 Notification sounds
* Other supported notification methods

You can also enable or disable notifications for different types of events, including:

* New orders
* New customer messages
* Order status changes
* Delivery updates
* Disputes or customer issues
* Other important seller events

## Desktop Notifications

Desktop notifications can alert you even when you're working in another browser tab or window.

To enable them:

1. Open **Settings → Notifications**
2. Enable **Desktop Notifications**
3. Allow notifications when prompted by your browser

Once enabled, you'll receive a desktop alert when supported events occur, such as a new order or customer message.

> 💡 Make sure your browser and operating system also allow notifications from MitchCactus.

## Choose What You Want to Receive

You don't need to enable every notification.

Use the notification settings to choose the events that are most important to you and the methods you want to use for each one.

We strongly recommend keeping **new order and customer message notifications enabled**, particularly while you have active listings, so you can respond and fulfil orders promptly.
