Account Seller Rules
These rules apply to all sellers listing game accounts on the MitchCactus Marketplace.
They sit alongside our General Seller Rules, which also apply to every account seller and listing.
⚠️ Breaking these rules may result in warnings, listing removal, withheld payouts, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the marketplace depending on the severity of the violation.
Account Listing Rules 📝
Keep listings accurate and informative
Your listing should clearly explain what the buyer is purchasing.
Include relevant information such as:
- Account features and progression
- Rank, level, skins, items, or other included content
- Platform and region
- Delivery method
- Account or email limitations
- Any known restrictions or risks
- Anything else the buyer should reasonably know before purchasing
Do not use exaggerated claims, irrelevant information, or descriptions that could mislead the buyer.
No duplicate listings
Do not create multiple identical or substantially duplicate listings simply to gain additional visibility.
If the platform provides a way to add multiple accounts or available stock under the same offer, use that instead.
No misleading titles, descriptions, or images
Everything shown on your listing must accurately represent the account being sold.
Do not make claims that aren't true, including misleading statements about:
- Account access
- Warranty
- Rank or progression
- Included items
- Platform compatibility
- Region
- Account history
The title, description, images, and delivered account should all match.
Disclose account limitations
Any limitation that could reasonably affect the buyer must be clearly disclosed before purchase.
For example:
- Region restrictions
- Platform linking restrictions
- Email-change limitations
- Existing penalties or offences
- Restrictions on purchases or account features
- Known recovery or security considerations
If it's important to the buyer's use of the account, it belongs in the listing.
No listing manipulation
Do not attempt to manipulate listings, search results, pricing, keywords, reviews, or marketplace systems to gain unfair visibility over other sellers.
General Account Rules 🔐
Full-access accounts only
Unless a particular category specifically states otherwise, accounts must be sold with full access.
Shared, rented, or temporary-access accounts are not permitted.
You must provide the buyer with all credentials reasonably required to take control of the account, including access to the associated email where applicable.
You are responsible for the accounts you sell
Sellers remain responsible for the integrity of the accounts they list.
You may source or resell accounts where permitted, but this does not remove your responsibility if the account is later recovered, inaccessible, incorrectly described, or otherwise causes an eligible buyer claim.
Only list accounts you are confident can be transferred safely to the buyer.
Never recover a sold account
Recovering, reclaiming, or intentionally taking back access to an account after it has been sold is strictly prohibited.
MitchCactus has zero tolerance for intentional account recovery fraud.
Confirmed cases may result in:
- A full refund to the buyer
- Seller funds being withheld where appropriate
- Permanent suspension
- Further action in serious cases
Do not access an account after sale
Once ownership has been transferred, you must not:
- Log into the account
- Change its credentials
- Recover the account
- Use the account
- Access associated email accounts
The only exception is where the buyer specifically requests your assistance to resolve an issue.
Illegal or stolen accounts are prohibited
You must never sell accounts that are:
- Hacked
- Stolen
- Obtained through fraud
- Accessed without authorization
- Otherwise illegally obtained
Selling these accounts may result in immediate permanent suspension.
Warranty & Seller Liability 🛡️
Marketplace account purchases are covered by the applicable MitchCactus warranty and buyer protection period shown for the listing.
If an account is recovered, stops working, is materially different from its description, or experiences another covered issue during the applicable warranty period, the buyer may be eligible for a replacement, refund, or another appropriate resolution.
Some account listings may also offer extended warranty coverage, including options ranging from several months through to Lifetime coverage where available.
Liability can continue after the warranty period
The end of a standard warranty period does not give sellers permission to recover or interfere with a sold account.
If evidence later indicates that a seller intentionally recovered an account or caused another serious issue, MitchCactus may investigate and take action even after the original warranty period has ended.
Disputes
If an account dispute is opened, cooperate with our Resolution Team and provide any requested evidence promptly.
Depending on the issue, this may include:
- Proof of original ownership
- Account delivery information
- Email access information
- Screenshots or videos
- Login history
- Relevant communication with the buyer
If a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour and the buyer receives a refund or replacement, the seller may recover or secure the original account where appropriate.
Account Delivery 📦
Instant Delivery
If an account is listed for Instant Delivery, the credentials entered into MitchCactus must be:
- Correct
- Complete
- Working
- Ready for immediate use
This includes the account login and any associated email or additional credentials required for full access.
Incorrect or incomplete Instant Delivery information may result in the order being refunded and repeated issues may lead to restrictions on your listings.
Manual Delivery
If an account uses Manual Delivery, you must deliver it within the timeframe shown on your listing.
Make sure the buyer receives all required credentials and instructions through the MitchCactus order chat.
Email Requirements 📧
Accounts should use secure, established email providers wherever possible.
Common examples include:
- Gmail
- Outlook / Hotmail
- Yahoo
- Proton Mail
- AOL
If an account uses another email provider:
- The email must be secure and accessible
- The buyer must receive full access
- You should provide the correct login URL where it may not be obvious
- Any unusual limitations should be disclosed
Using unreliable or inaccessible email services may work against the seller if an account-access dispute arises.
Game-Specific Rules 🎮
Some games have additional requirements because of the way their account systems work.
Fortnite
- Clearly state which platforms the account can be linked to.
- If you list a platform as supported, the buyer should reasonably be able to use the account on that platform.
- Disclose any important account-linking or recovery risks.
- If the account's email cannot be changed immediately, this must be clearly stated.
- Full access to the associated email must still be provided where applicable.
- If parental controls or other significant account restrictions are enabled, disclose them in the listing.
Valorant
- List the account in the correct rank category.
- Any advertised rank must accurately reflect the account's current rank.
- Do not sell accounts that have been levelled, boosted, or created using cheats or prohibited software where this creates a material ban risk for the buyer.
- Disclose any relevant penalties or restrictions.
OSRS / RuneScape 3
Provide all applicable recovery information available for the account.
This may include:
- Original or previous email information
- Previous passwords
- Recovery information
- Membership or payment history where relevant
You must also disclose known:
- Bans
- Offences
- Botting history
- Restrictions
- Other account history that could create additional risk for the buyer
League of Legends
- List accounts in the correct rank category.
- The advertised rank must reflect the current relevant rank.
- Disclose existing penalties, restrictions, or significant offences.
- Accounts with usernames or account characteristics that make the product materially unusable or unsuitable for sale should not be listed.
Remember ✅
When you sell an account on MitchCactus, you're responsible for making sure the buyer receives exactly what was advertised, with the access and information necessary to take ownership.
The simplest rules are:
- Be accurate
- Disclose limitations
- Provide full access
- Deliver what you advertised
- Never recover a sold account
- Cooperate if an issue or dispute arises
Account sellers must also follow the General Seller Rules at all times.
