Seller Verification & Why It’s Required

Before you can sell or fulfill orders through MitchCactus, you’ll need to complete seller verification.

This helps us keep the marketplace secure, prevent fraud, and make sure we know who is providing products and services to our customers.

Why do sellers need to be verified? 🛡️

Security & fraud prevention

Every seller on MitchCactus represents themselves directly to our customers.

Identity verification helps us confirm that you are who you say you are, while reducing the risk of fraudulent sellers, stolen identities, account recovery scams, payment abuse, and other malicious activity.

KYC & compliance

Verification also helps us meet relevant Know Your Customer (KYC), payment, and compliance requirements associated with operating our marketplace and processing seller payouts.

Full seller access

Verification must be completed before you can fully operate as an approved seller on MitchCactus.

Depending on what you've been approved for, this may include:

• Creating and managing marketplace listings
• Accepting or fulfilling orders
• Communicating with customers
• Receiving seller payouts

How verification works

After submitting your seller application, you’ll be prompted to complete identity verification through Sumsub, our third-party identity verification provider.

You may be asked to provide:

• A valid government-issued ID, such as a passport, driver's licence, or national ID
• A selfie or identity/liveness check
• Additional information or documentation where required

You'll also need to agree to the MitchCactus Seller Rules before beginning to sell.

Once everything has been submitted, your application and verification will be reviewed by our team.

Is my information secure? 🔒

Yes. Identity verification is completed securely through Sumsub, a specialist identity verification provider used to perform KYC and identity checks.

Your verification information is processed through Sumsub's systems for identity verification purposes rather than being submitted through ordinary messages or order chats.

Your verification information is used to confirm your identity and help maintain a safe marketplace for both sellers and customers.

Once you're verified and your seller application is approved, we'll complete your onboarding and you can begin selling or fulfilling eligible orders through MitchCactus.
