Duplicate Offers
To keep the MitchCactus Marketplace fair and easy to browse, sellers should only create one offer for each genuinely unique product.
Duplicate or near-duplicate listings may be removed, and repeated attempts to manipulate marketplace visibility may result in restrictions or suspension.
Core Rule
Each seller may list one offer per unique product.
A product is considered unique when its main characteristics are meaningfully different and would reasonably affect either:
- What the buyer receives
- The buyer's preference
- The value of the offer
Relevant differences may include:
- Rank
- Level
- Skins
- Items
- Currency
- Platform
- Region
- Progression
- Other important game-specific features
Example
If one account contains 35 million currency and another contains 35.4 million, they may still be considered duplicates if the difference has little impact on the value.
However, an account with 35 million and another with 80 million may reasonably be listed separately if the difference materially affects the product and its price.
How to Structure Your Listings
Be accurate
Clearly describe what makes each product different.
Titles, descriptions, images, and product details should accurately reflect what the buyer receives.
Avoid minor variations
Small changes made purely to create additional listings do not make a product unique.
For example:
- Changing the wording of the title
- Slightly changing the currency balance
- Adding an insignificant cosmetic
- Changing the price
- Using different images for substantially the same product
Combine similar stock
Where supported, substantially identical products should be grouped into the same offer rather than listed separately.
What Counts as Duplicate Listing Manipulation? 🚫
Examples include:
- Creating several listings for essentially the same account
- Listing 250 Million and 0.25 Billion as separate products
- Creating multiple offers where only a very small inventory amount changes
- Rewording the title or description while selling the same underlying product
- Repeatedly deleting and recreating similar offers to gain additional visibility
The rule is based on the actual product being sold, not simply whether the listing text looks different.
Why Do We Have This Rule?
Duplicate listings can:
- Give individual sellers unfair additional visibility
- Make marketplace results harder for buyers to browse
- Push genuinely different products further down
- Create unnecessary marketplace clutter
- Make comparing offers more difficult
The goal is to keep marketplace results competitive while giving sellers fair exposure.
Penalties
Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, MitchCactus may:
- Remove or unlist duplicate offers
- Issue a warning
- Restrict the seller's ability to create additional listings
- Temporarily suspend the seller account
- Permanently suspend sellers who repeatedly or deliberately manipulate the system
Intentional attempts to exploit loopholes may result in stronger action.
Frequently Asked Questions
I have two accounts at the same level but with different skins. Are they duplicates?
Not necessarily.
If the skins are an important part of the account's value or something buyers would specifically choose between, they may be listed separately.
Minor cosmetic differences that have little impact on the account may still be considered duplicates.
What if only one major feature is different?
If the difference materially affects the account or buyer preference, the offers can generally be listed separately.
For example, two otherwise similar accounts with meaningfully different ranks may be considered unique.
Can I list accounts with slightly different currency balances?
Only where the difference is meaningful.
An account with 20 million and another with 20.2 million may be too similar, while 20 million and 60 million may represent genuinely different products.
Can different platforms or regions be separate offers?
Yes, where the platform, region, or server genuinely changes compatibility or who can use the product.
Can I create another listing with a different price?
No. Changing the price alone does not make the underlying product unique.
What if I have multiple identical accounts?
Where supported, use the same offer with multiple available accounts or stock rather than creating duplicate listings.
Final Guideline
A simple rule to follow:
If the difference would genuinely influence a buyer's decision or materially change the product's value, it may be listed separately.
If the products are effectively the same with only minor changes, keep them under the same offer.
